I am delighted, as the Mayor of Worthing and as a health care professional, to become a Patron of Parley. I know from personal experience that new parents who have a child with a long or short term medical need, has to undergo surgery or have a child with special needs often want to know more about their child's condition etc but do not know where to turn.
I had a very pre-term baby, who subsequently developed meningitis, and I felt very alone, despite the support of the hospital and my health visitor. Just to have been able to 'click' onto a website and gain additional contact information I needed would have been so helpful.
Because Parley is exclusively an information giving service it will complement the advice and support being given by medical, nursing and legal professionals.
